Career description

Cleo Heyen, M.A. started her career as a project coordinator at the European Journalism Center in Maastricht in 1997. In 1998 she started at the Center for European Studies (CES), part of Maastricht University. At CES she was managing international programs for non-European students that studied at Maastricht University for a semester or a summer program.
In 2006 she coordinated several international research projects at the Maastricht Graduate School of Governance (Maastricht University) especially the UNICEF Learning Programme on public policy, advocacy and partnerships for children’s rights.
After 2 years working as a project manager at an education institute called Consent in Heerlen, she returned to Maastricht University in 2010 as a Project Manager at M3 research unit, working mainly on human resources and financial management.
