Our research work on the impact of vegan vs omnivorous meals on stimulating muscle protein synthesis was referenced by C. van der Plas, member of the House of Representatives of The Netherlands, in a motion she filed to prevent the exclusion of animal based protein sources for patients in hospitals. It was surprising to see that our research is being picked up and used in political discussion, as you can see in the debate (see clip).
